Taylor’s style is curious, collaborative, and down to earth. Taylor deeply believes that all people are resilient and have the internal capacity to reach their goals when provided with the right support and resources. Taylor strives to create a safe and affirming space that fosters empowerment, resilience, and personal growth. She is passionate about working with marginalized groups, promoting social justice, and providing culturally competent support to empower individuals in overcoming systemic barriers. She is dedicated to supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the unique challenges they face. Taylor uses a holistic and person-centered approach that is tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. She believes it is essential to form an authentic relationship that centers on unconditional positive regard. Taylor draws from attachment and relational theories, IFS/parts work, polyvagal theory, somatic/mind body approaches and EMDR. She sees her role as being a guide and an ally in helping clients explore their “inner wilderness”. She focuses on aiding clients in addressing the root causes of the discontent in their lives. Taylor sees people as separate from their problems and works to collaborate with clients to support them in finding lasting solutions to the issues causing them emotional distress.
Outside of her passion for people, Taylor is an avid outdoor enthusiast. You can often find her hiking in the backcountry, on a mountain with a snowboard strapped to her feet, or out somewhere camping and stargazing. Taylor also enjoys spending time with her dog “Bones" who likes to join therapy sessions when he isn’t out exploring.
