Sydney grew up in San Diego and has been living in Bend, Oregon for about six years. She graduated from Oregon State University in Corvallis with a B.S in Speech Communication and received her Master’s degree in counseling from Oregon State University-Cascades. She has experience working in a local group practice, as well as seeing a wide variety of clients at the OSU-Cascades Counseling Clinic. Sydney is a Professional Counselor Associate through the Board of
Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
Sydney’s goal is to support others to discover and tap into their innate wisdom and authentic self. She believes that you are the expert of your life, and it’s important to hold space for self-discovery and exploration. Sydney uses a strength based and person-centered approach, while utilizing internal family systems (IFS) and narrative therapy. Sydney honors clients in their lived experience and is LGBTQIA+ affirming. She believes that we are constantly evolving, and often the pain we experience can mirror the depth of joy and love that we are capable of. Sydney emphasizes the importance of being gentle to one’s self, along with befriending our younger selves. Sydney believes her role as a counselor is deeply sacred and is honored to be alongside you in your journey.
Outside of counseling, Sydney enjoys reading, playing cribbage, traveling, listening to live music, and eating yummy food. She loves plants, yoga, animals, spending time outdoors, giggling with the people she loves, and RELAXING!
