Richard Streeter

  

Richard is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon. He holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Oregon State University as well as a Master's Degree in Education from Montana State University. Richard also serves as the Executive Director for Northwest Youth Discovery, a residential treatment program for adolescent females in Bend.


Richard has over 25 years experience working with children and families throughout the treatment continuum from the criminal justice system to acute psychiatric services. He is professionally trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and specializes in treating clients with attachment issues, suicidal ideation, behavioral issues, anger management, parenting, relational conflicts, etc.


He takes a reality therapy/person-centered approach towards helping clients meet their emotional and mental health needs. His goal as a therapist is to provide a therapeutic environment where clients can safely explore barriers that impede their physical and emotional well-being.  

Rates and Insurance

Richard accepts BCBS, Moda, First Choice Health, RBH=PacificSource Commercial, PacificSource Community Solutions (OHP Deschutes County managed care), Optum, and Aetna=Providence Preferred.
