Leila, a native of North Carolina, completed a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a Professional Counselor Associate, registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and
Therapists, and is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Leila’s career has included teaching Adult Literacy classes and College Prep Math in North Carolina as well as “College Success” at Central Oregon Community
College. She has over a decade of experience in hospice work in a variety of roles including bereavement counseling and most recently, she counseled patients and family members as they made decisions about end-of-life care and daily well-being in the face of health challenges.
Leila is excited to shift her focus and use these years of counseling experience and skills to assist adult clients as they sort through life’s challenges and strive for clarity, insight, and emotional healing. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy intent on creating a safe environment, and particularly enjoys bringing poetry and other creative expressions to the therapeutic process.
In her free time, Leila enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking in Central Oregon, and working in her yard.
