Kimberly Richards


Kimberly is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a registered LPC-intern with the State of Oregon. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling from Oregon State University. She works with Northwest Discovery, as well as Deschutes County Behavior Health where she provides community mental health services. Prior to this, she spent 6 years working with survivors at Saving Grace. 

Kimberly provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling. She has training in Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, crisis response, mindfulness, art, play, and sand-tray therapy, as well as somatic based interventions including yoga and eco-therapy.

She aims to provide a safe space, free from judgment to assist you in exploring and processing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Taking a holistic approach, Kimberly guides you in you relationship with yourself and others, and helps you find your authentic, healthiest self.

Kimberly specializes in treating trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,  depression and anxiety, Bi-Polar, and personality disorders. She has  experience with grief and loss, interpersonal relationships, domestic  and sexual violence and trauma, and aims to aid you in boosting your sense of belonging and connectedness, confidence, and self-worth.

Insurance and Rates

Northwest Discovery accepts many insurance plans. Please call Cristine Miller at Miller Medical Billing at (541) 280-7278 or email any insurance inquiries you may have. 

Counseling and therapy fees are based on the standard hourly rates determined by a client’s insurance carrier and will be billed accordingly. Please contact your insurance career directly for billing and/or eligibility questions. 

Private pay rates are $150 per session unless negotiated ahead of time based on a sliding scale. Payment is required prior to services. Those clients who have co-pays will be required to provide payment at time of service.
