Dara is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon and holds a Master’s Degree from Oregon State University. Prior to joining Northwest Discovery she spent 14 years at Saving Grace providing advocacy, comprehensive services, and individual and group counseling to the full spectrum of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Dara is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Sand-tray and Play Therapy, and Somatic-Based Interventions, including integrating Yoga and Reiki.
Her goal as a therapist is to support you in finding your authentic self and to assist you in optimizing your sense of belonging on an individual and community level, despite what cultural and social messages you may have received. Dara works from a systemic and cultural perspective, taking a holistic approach to wellness, mental health, body wellness, and relationship issues.
Dara specializes in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, relationship issues, grief and loss, domestic violence, sexual trauma, life transition, cult experiences, divorce, transition, etc. Dara utilizes a warm, person-centered approach to the therapeutic relationship to support her clients in bringing about positive change and a sense of belonging.

Counseling and therapy fees are based on the standard hourly rates determined by a client’s insurance carrier and will be billed accordingly. Please contact your insurance career directly for billing and/or eligibility questions.
Private pay rates are $150 per session unless negotiated ahead of time based on a sliding scale. Payment is required prior to services. Those clients who have co-pays will be required to provide payment at time of service.
