Abby has her Masters in Counseling degree from Oregon State University and is a registered Licensed Professional Counseling Intern with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists. Abby has emphasized her work in the field with couples and individuals in the private practice setting dealing with an array of life obstacles. She has a passion for helping her clients & couples by moving them towards growth and healing.
Abby has a deep passion of helping people with their self-concept. Self-concept can be comprised of many things such as self-image, self-esteem, relationship, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, and even just everyday life stressors.
Abby is trained, certified, and specializes in couple’s work. She utilizes a deep level of attunement to her couples allowing her to locate tender spots and underlying issues, and design reparative experiences in session. Abby’s goal for her couples is repairing their relationship, however that may look, and moving them towards secure functioning in a way that works for the both of them.
Abby has also worked in crisis and suicide prevention prior to obtaining her Master’s degree and continues a passion to work with those who may be facing dark times in their lives. She has also spent time working with teenagers needing extra support and encouragement in their home and school settings.
She has training specific to attachment wounding, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), arousal regulation, and crisis/suicide prevention.
Outside of being a counselor, Abby enjoys all things outdoors. She loves camping, hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with her husband and two dogs!
